Can you believe there are NINE of us? Meet the fam!
I thought it was time to formally introduce you to EVERYONE around here!
I realize that I (Beth) am the majority of the “virtual face” for our little farm. But did you realize there are NINE of us now on The Declercq Homestead!?
(Wait until you see how big our littlest dude has gotten! He may be one of the chunkiest babies yet…)
My husband, Tommy, is of course the one who gets all of major project work and maintenance done around here. He’s a lifetime fan of THEE Ohio State Buckeyes, a talented woodworker, loves learning and discussing history, and can often be found during the non-winter months cooking something amazing off the grill and enjoying evenings around the campfire!
I, Beth, am mom! I run all the social media - both for marketing and as a creative/social outlet. I love working in the garden, home renovation projects, coffee, lists, the color green, thrifting, and crocheting (when it’s not garden season!)
Our oldest, Evelyn, just turned 13 last month! Around the farm she handles the “little chickens” (in the brooder) and our rabbits. For the past few years she’s also raised and sold her own pullets and she just recently acquired and incubator and hated her first batch of eggs! Evy is incredibly creative, organized, and helps keep this ship in shape.
Our oldest son, Will, is 11. Right now - he lives for fishing! He’s often found practicing his cast in the yard or at grandma and grandpa’s spending hours by their pond or lake. Around the homestead, he manages the pigs and helps with a lot of the bigger projects. Will also loves to spend time in the woods, reading (about fishing of course), and is currently rocking a pretty impressive mullet (see the family picture above)!
Jameson is 8 - we call him Red or J-mo. He’s our big cheeky guy - he’s always looking to have a good time and lend a hand. He goes with the flow and like most boys his age, is usually pretty filthy at the end of the day! He likes fishing, building forts, and is a very sweet big brother. He takes care of our layer chickens and feeds and waters the dogs and cats!
Next is Suzette - she is six! Most call her Suzy or Suzy Jo. She’s sweet and sassy! Her smile and dark red hair is quick to win most people over! She loves to craft with beads and rubber bands & color, but isn’t afraid to get dirty outside with her brothers! Suzy is happy to help J with his chores or help watch babies while I do mine.
Leland just recently turn 4! He was only about 6 months old when we moved to this property, so it’s all he really knows. He spends most of his days in the sandbox soaking up the sun and adding more freckles to his sweet little face! He loves trucks, riding his bike, and eating tacos. He can often be found “helping” the big boys on whatever project their doing too!
Our little Brooks - or as we call him “Boots” - is newly 2. He keeps all of us on our toes! You never know where he’s off to but most likely you’ll find him near the tractor or waiting patiently on the lawn mower for a ride. He can be ornery sometimes - but he also has a lot of goofiness to his personality and always makes us laugh!
Last but not least - baby George! He will be 4 months old next week! George does not miss a meal (as you can see by his cheeks and chins!) The boy loves to eat and loves his mama the most. If you weren’t following us when he was born - we expected a little GIRL based on the ultrasound! But I’m so thankful for our little surprise boy #5. His wild red hair and sweet smile fits right in!
Now you know a little more about us! Thank you for letting me share our life and our people with you. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings from our little homestead,
Beth
